Alex offers several movement techniques and tools to regulate the nervous system. Rooted in Ashtanga, Alex's Yoga Asana classes are focused on trauma informed slower paced movement and breathing such as Yin yoga and slower paced somatic yoga poses.

Private sessions start with a 30 minute consultation.

Group sessions and celebrations / healing welcomed.

All sessions have in-person or online-virtual options.

Yoga Asana / Movement

Using trauma informed movement such as yoga and somatic grounding to reduce stress, cultivate inner support, develop body trust, return to wholeness, coming to what the body wants and overcome repetitive injury. While many trauma survivors will benefit from yoga, the intense focus on sensations can sometimes be dysregulating. Movement guidance sessions involve using practices to respond skillfully when trauma arises. Sessions are met with compassion to encourage empowerment, healing, and transformation.

Guided Meditations

A facilitated session to create a sense of calm and inner harmony to find a practice that meets your needs and compliments your personality. This session will cater to your specific theme requests to work through while inviting self-awareness such as inner child, future self, grief, happiness, or goal setting.

Yoga for Kids

Aside from providing trauma informed movement and breathing techniques, I offer yoga and mindfulness for kids with The Mindful Movement team, bringing balance and understanding of mind and body to children through a blend of yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, and other fun activities in our local school systems in St. Petersburg, Fl. Please, check out our calendar to see where we are teaching.
